I think I’d find it funnier if a lot of gays hadn’t done their best to squash any research into genetic, physical, or pathological causes for homosexuality.
LOL! That was great! And I loved the Pink Tiger bit!
Why, jonolan? I say who gives a flying fuck if it’s a choice or not. It’s a choice (unlike Christianity) that hurts no one. I never did get that in the debates about homosexuality about why it matters at all if it’s a choice or not. That’s like trying to fix people who prefer vanilla ice cream to the more popular chocolate.
It’s a pet peeve of mine, I guess. Gays have constantly said they were born that way but then fight against anyone trying to figure why they might be born that way.
My peeve isn’t based upon “vanilla to chocolate” as it were. It’s based upon saying that the preference is biological and then trying to stop scientists from finding the biological cause for the preference.
Why? So they can “cure” it? Why aren’t they researching a biological reason for hetrosexuality? You miss my point entirely. If you don’t care about people being gay or bi, there’s utterly no reason to do the research. This is not a disease that needs to be cured. There’s better things to put the resources to.
‘Fraid I’m with the gays on this one. In fact, I say it doesn’t matter if it’s a choice or not, it harms no one so who gives a damn? I say that if peoples’ sex lives were satisfying, they wouldn’t be so damned obsessed with what the gay couple down the street are doing behind closed doors, which is nobody’s business but their own.
jonolon, are you seriously trying to tell me that you don’t see why they would object to the research when it’s so obvious? Because it can be used to discriminate against them. Is that clear enough?

Well, you trying to figure out why anyone was born preferring vanilla to chocolate? You might want to examine why it matters so much to you.
