“I don’t believe it” or “They’re Left leaning”

“I don’t believe it!”  It’s a phrase heard everyday from members of the Christian Nationalist Party when presented with hard evidence and facts on any subject.  When all else fails, they resort to the back-up phrase, “Well, they’re left leaning”.  Of course, the last statement IS true.  How can it not be when the CNP is so far to the right that they’re on the verge of falling off the right edge of the planet! (my tribute to the Flat Earth fundies out there) Any evidence, fact, or clarification, on any issue that doesn’t fit the fundamentalist/dominionist/christian nationalist world view, is summarily dismissed as left, secular, against the skydaddy…  Simply put, if they don’t agree with it, it’s wrong.

Folks have always measured things from their own perspective, as they should.  We all have opinions.  But, where opinions become useless is when they discard evidence and fact in favor of supposition and fallacy.  The Christian Nationalist Party is ripe with supposition and fallacy.  In fact, they will go so far as to outright lie, using the ignorant and complacent American electorate as players in their shell game.  With well placed shills, the game takes on a more ominous tone as the “yes” men and women of the party concoct ridiculous plots and story lines more befitting of a bad television drama or sitcom, and spamulate everyone within eye shot and earshot. These zealots fuel the game with more bullshit than the electorate can handle, causing the average citizen to wobble, dizzy already from the sheer volume of dung being thrust down their throats to begin with. Americans, for the most part, are unable to handle information that takes them more than thirty seconds to read or  sixty seconds to hear.  So, this kind of silent indoctrination is the perfect way to supplant fact with fiction.

Recently, I responded to an email spamulation (spam designed to mutilate facts in favor of dogma).   I said the spamulation was utter bullshit, and pointed the spamulator (the person responsible for forwarding the spamulation) to EVIDENCE that showed the fraudulent nature of the spamulation.  Needless to say, the spamulator shot back with:

“I see little to call it UTTER BULLSHIT. The first quote wasn’t obamessiahs, fine, drop it. The rest are still his and don’t change the meaning just because a few words were left out. SNOPES is a major left leaning organization. Admitted by snopes when they originally started, since removed from their website to make them seem more centered. Factcheck.org is a typical left leaning site as well. Simply read their interpretation of the health care bill.”

I bolded, italicized and underlined the “don’t change the meaning…” to show just how ignorant and ridiculous the sheeple of the CNP can be.  This response is TYPICAL of CNP members and their ilk.  It’s always “lefty”.  This brings me to an important point…

Members of the CNP believe in a skydaddy without evidence.  Is it really surprising then that they would believe anything else without evidence?  No.  It is not surprising.  But, you have to ask yourself how dangerous this blatant ignorance can be, from both a domestic policy position, as well as a foreign policy position.  If hard EVIDENCE and fact are this easily discarded, what will these zealots do to liberty? What happens to diplomacy?  What happens to the face of war?  And, more importantly, we expose ourselves to something more dangerous than any terrorist can concoct.  Our enemy is not overseas.  It’s right here, in our own yard, and they are determined to wipe honesty, integrity, and liberty from the face of this country.  And the CNP will say… “I don’t believe it!  You’re a lefty!”

  1. Evidence is but a tool. If it can be used for your position then it is considered irrefutable and unquestionable. But if it cannot support your position then it is immediately condemned and discarded.

These people would deny their own parents if it could advance their position, and then deny ever having denied it if the subject was brought up later on. Honor be damned. Truth be damned. Reality be damned.

By the way, you’re not supposed to RESPOND to the spamulations. You’re supposed to pass them on – lies and all – or else ignore them. But you’re not supposed to actually RESPOND to the people who pass lies off as the truth. That’s violating the cardinal rule of the spamulation.

  2. To answer your questions, nothing good. And going nowhere fast as a nation but backwards. These idiots would reduce us to third world status if left unchecked.
